The South Carolina Center in Rehabilitation and Reconstructions Sciences (CRRS) focuses on advancing musculoskeletal health and wellness through research, education, outreach and clinical translation. Within this Center, scientific discoveries are being translated into clinical solutions that will improve outcomes for Orthopaedic patients worldwide.

Initial members include
Smith & Nephew, a global leader in the development of orthopaedic medical devices, The University of South Carolina with resources from College of Engineering and Computing and the Arnold School of Public Health and the Orthopaedic Research Foundation of the Carolinas in associate with Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas sports medicine physicians.
The CRRS partnership includes academic faculty, clinicians, industrial researchers, graduate students, medical residents, and orthopaedic fellows engaged in advancing musculoskeletal health and wellness through research, education, outreach and clinical translation. Areas of expertise in the Center include basic orthopaedic science and engineering, exercise science and physical therapy, epidemiology and patient population studies, surgery, rehabilitation, and creation of new biologic products for clinical use.
